Mission Outreach

Our Vision

We support, through volunteer time and donations, non-profit organizations
that serve the hungry and homeless with a focus on life changing programs
and well-being.

Hunger Task Force Food Drive

Picture
Mission Outreach and Vacation Bible School are joining together to collect food for Hunger Task Force in August.
Our goal is to break our record and collect 1000 lbs of food!
Look for the Hunger Task Force collection boxes in the church entrance and in the Narthex.
Here are the foods Hunger Task Force needs for their "Healthy Plate" nutrition program:
  • Canned fruit in 100% juice (no sugar)
  • Low sodium canned vegetables.
  • Whole grain foods such as brown rice, oatmeal, cereal without sugar, multigrain pasta
  • Condiments: salsa, oil, mustard, salt-free seasonings
  • Snacks: Healthy foods for on-the-go: granola, nuts & seeds, breakfast bars, graham crackers
  • Dairy: Boxed, low-fat milk, soy milk, oat milk
  • Peanut Butter
Monetary donations are always welcome. Make a check out to MUMC with Hunger Task Force in the memo line.

Collections for Disaster Relief

We collected over 3,000 items for Disaster Relief for the Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC) The items were collected from the Brookfield, Central, Mequon, and Oak Creek United Methodist Churches through the efforts of a number of generous and talented individuals. The Midwest Mission Distribution Center brings “the hearts and hands of God’s people together to transform resources into humanitarian relief.”

We collect items year round. So drop off your donations to our church anytime between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday through Thursday or on Sunday until noon.
Instructions and promotional materials for individual items and the assembly of various humanitarian relief kits may be found at www.midwestmission.org .
