Mequon United Methodist Church is
excited to announce plans to open Sonlight Child Development
Center, offering professional childcare and
preschool education in a nurturing environment influenced by
Christian values. Sonlight Center will fill the gap in preschool
services created by the closure of Mequon Junior
Kindergarten, which operated and served the community for 47
years, most recently at Mequon United Methodist Church.
Sonlight Child Development Center will provide half-day
developmental preschool classes for 3, 4 and 5 year olds as
well as drop-off child care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old
between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, five days a week. Program options will include
culturally diverse curriculum and nature exploration in an
outdoor nature area.
Recruitment of professional staff is
currently underway. The staff will include degreed lead teachers,
well-trained assistant teachers and child care workers. Anyone interested in obtaining more information about Sonlight Child Development Center

Oriole Lane.
