But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16 NIV
WELCOME! Mequon United Methodist Church welcomes you as a partner in your child or children’s faith development. We are here to provide you with resources to help you guide your family through the developmental stages ahead, firmly grounded in faith. As your children grow, your needs and theirs change – and we are here to help. Here are some of the programs you can find at MUMC.
VBS and Kaleidoscope Highlights - 2017
On Sunday mornings, children in preschool through elementary school gather for active explorations of faith together. Each week the children encounter the Biblical message in a new form - including occasional movie mornings (complete with freshly-popped popcorn) - as our children grow actively in faith. Parents, please print out and fill out the registration form and permission slip below, and bring it to church on Sunday morning, or mail it in.
CIRCUIT SUNDAY NIGHT
On Sunday nights at 4:00 PM throughout the school year, we offer special programs for children and their families. In January, we journeyed to a far away land with EXPEDITION NORWAY, which included a favorite family event - an indoor MUMC Drive-In Movie night, and during Lent we gathered for more hands-on Biblical explorations. All evening programs include dinner for the whole family. Join us this fall for PASSPORT TO PERU, an adventure through the mysterious Andes Mountains at 4:00 PM each Sunday. Our journey ends October 1.

2017 CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
“The Christmas Puzzle”
Autumn has arrived, and that means Christmas is just around the corner. This year’s MUMC Children’s Christmas Program will take place on Sunday morning, December 3, and will feature all of the children in our Sunday School, as well as our Youth Choir. This year’s program is called “The Christmas Puzzle,” with options for actors, narrators and singers, as well as artists (as always). The story is about a group of cousins who gather at their grandmother’s house for an evening of games, and end up discovering the meaning of Christmas. Please note: We need an adult actor to play Grandma or Grandpa in our play! Please let Peg know if you would be willing to help out in this important capacity! Rehearsals start October 22, with a break the following week for Halloween, and then continue through November on Sunday evenings at 4:00 PM. Dinner will be provided for the whole family at 5:30 PM. Audra would love to have someone else do the cooking – so please let her know if you can help! There will be a dress rehearsal on Saturday morning, December 2 as part of our Hanging of the Greens event.
